The Physical Education Department would like to offer an event and screening of the documentary "Best Day Ever" which includes an alumni student athlete from Cortland in the film. This event would be an innovative and meaningful opportunity to deepen student understanding of disability, inclusion, and the transformative power of community in physical activity settings. Bringing "Best Day Ever" includes post-screening dialogue, reflection, and potential engagement with adaptive sport practitioners to enrich the educational impact of the event and screening. This event will help our teacher candidates think more broadly about accessibility, community, and the role of Physical Activity in healing from life changing events and creating inclusive environments.
