SUNY Cortland's Literacy Department is a leading preparer of literacy professionals in K-12 schools in New York State. We have partnerships with local schools and childcare centers in support of child literacy development as well as preparing new teachers to teach reading and writing. We also host an annual conference with leading literacy scholars as keynote speakers. Your Cortland Challenge gift would help support annual conference expenses as well as events with our school and childcare partners - we want to put books in children's hands!
